Delicate Detail - Born Pretty BP-WT04 The Noon Sunshine, Nicole Diary-L03, BK polish #08

Now I'm not known for putting the best colour combinations together in my stamping (mis)adventures... but I don't think I did too badly this time!

The plate I'm reviewing was generously provided by Born Pretty - this is Nicole Diary-L03, a plate chockers full of lovely Eastern-style floral designs. I love all the patterns on this plate!

The stamping polish I'm using is also from Born Pretty, this one is BP-WT04 The Noon Sunshine, a sort of seafoam-y Tiffany blue (it's a tad greener than my photos suggest). Such a lovely colour!

Using a blue jelly base (BK Glow in the Dark polish #08), I then stamped over all my nails with 10 different designs from the plate. I must say this stamping polish has the ideal formula, slightly thick, great opacity, doesn't dry too quickly.

Pretty much every design I stamped came out practically perfect, so colour me impressed! Really happy with both the plate and the stamping polish.

Happy New Year! - MdU Black, Sinful Colors' Purple Kraze, Ulta3's Fruit Tingle, Ulta3's Citrus, BK 06, Born Pretty BP-118

Happy new year to everyone! Let's start off 2019 with a bang!

[Fireworks!]

I chose this stamping pattern because I thought it would look a little like fireworks if I added riotous colours. The result is a fun, splash of colours in any case!

I did all of this on a silicone nail art mat to start off with. First, I put down a clear base on the mat and then left that to dry. Then I stamped down the pattern from Born Pretty's BP-118 stamping plate onto the clear base polish on the mat, using the pattern on the lower leftmost corner of the plate. I used MdU's Black, which is still the best black stamping polish I have ever used. It produces the cleanest, darkest stamped lines of any stamping nail polish I have ever seen.

After stamping, I added a touch of glitter from Maybelline's Gold's Night Out, just because the bottle was sitting on my desk. XD  Then I used a fine brush to paint in the different colours. I've gone into detail on the whole process in a past post here.

You can see the hint of gold glitter in the picture above. I applied too much glitter for the one that went on my thumbnail. Even though it doesn't look like such here, I actually couldn't see what on earth I was painting in for half of that particular nail, which is why it's a little bit of a mess. It does look like a rather pretty mess to me.

The colours used are as such:

• Sinful Colors' Purple Kraze - a purple creme polish with a pink shimmer that doesn't really show up on the nail and has a satin finish
• Ulta3's Fruit Tingle - a neon pink creme polish
• Ulta3's Citrus - a neon yellow creme polish
• BK 06 - a teal creme glow in the dark polish

For my right hand, I decided to do it all the same colours and forego the glitter for my own sanity.

Yes, I broke the nail on my index finger. :(  Anyway, I do think this looks less like fireworks but it's still a colourful and pretty mani, in my opinion.

Juiced Up - BK Glow-in-the-dark polish #16, Hit the Bottle As Black As Night, Born Pretty BP-L040

I thought stamping in black over the bright neon orange from last week would be a winner, but I'm not so sure!

Anyway, here's my deliciously juicy base shade - BK glow-in-the-dark polish #16 in a bright orange.

I was generously provided this plate from Born Pretty - BP-L040 which has some super awesome geometric patterns.

The one I chose is on the top row, second from right! I stamped with a plain black creme stamping polish from Hit the Bottle called As Black As Night.

Eeeh, it could be better...?? I don't think I did justice to such a great plate! I'll have to try again, especially with so many great designs to choose from!

I tried stamping a selection of designs that caught my eye but I was in quite a rush (it was getting pretty late at night) and you can clearly see that here! =p

Night Light - BK Glow-in-the-dark polish #16

I wanted something bright for the warm weather and this shade certainly fit the bill...

This polish is BK glow-in-the-dark polish in shade #16 which is a bright neon orange. As with most neons, photos do no justice! I think the second photo (below) most accurately depicts it's eye-searing glory! I think these nails were really distracting to everyone at work...

I tried two ways of applying this - on my ring finger, I applied three coats of BK#16 polish; on every other nail I used one coat of Revlon Powder Puff (a iridescent white matte polish) and two coats of BK#16. I reckon they look pretty similar but perhaps the ring finger had a slightly richer more jelly-like appearance - I'd probably stick with three coats of BK#16 alone in future.

Formula-wise, this was pretty good - average dry time. Now the lovely thing about this polish though is that unlike many neons which dry semi-matte, this one has a more jelly texture so remains deliciously glossy. I did seal with top coat for these photos though.

And finally! Does it glow?! As you can tell from the somewhat creepy photo above, it does! However it does need some intense charging up before you turn the lights out, otherwise, no I didn't really notice it too much just going from ambient to darkness. Still such a fun bright colour to usher in our summer months here down under!
