Golden Triangles - Mundo de Unas Black, Born Pretty stamping plate BP-L040

So here we continue the stamping mania!

[Golden Diamonds]

The base used here is More Nail Polish's Coinage, which is still my fave gold glitter polish ever! It's just chock-full of a variety of gold glitter, with some red and silver glitter too. I have reviewed it here before, and used it for some of my favourite manicures.

I used Mundo de Unas' Black with stamping plate BP-L040. The pattern I used was the third from the right in the second row.

Stamping over with Mundo de Unas' Black was easily done and resulted in clear, crisp black lines.

To better capture the shininess of the glitter, I took the following blurry photo under halogen lighting.

Overall, it's a simple but pretty mani.

Dune Buggy - Dance Legend Bow Conversion Wind of Change, Mundo de Unas Purple, Born Pretty BP-L050

These days, I rarely leave a colour on without doing something else over it! So here's what I did over last week's polish...

This one reminds me of sand dune patterns!

Recap of my base shade - Wind of Change, a thermal colour change polish with scattered holo particles that dries matte from the Bow Conversion collection available from Dance Legend.

[Born Pretty BP-L050]

The pattern I used was from Born Pretty stamping plate BP-L050 which was generously provided by Born Pretty for review! This one came in a super cute Christmas themed cardboard sleeve with the usual blue protective film.

And a whole bunch of cool patterns to use! The one I picked is on the top row, second from the right. You can see that the pattern is finer and closer together at one end and then spreads out at the other end. So I decided to place the denser side along the nail bed end.

The stamping polish I used was Mundo de Unas Purple, which as you can see in the bottle, has separated a little. I was a bit too lazy to shake it up thoroughly which I later found makes cleaning up a bit harder! So that's a lesson for next time!

I haven't got a photo to show this, but my idea going in was that when the thermal base darkens to purple in the cold, the stamped design blends in, whereas when it's warm (and therefore lavender) you can see the stamp pattern much clearer! 

As always, the stamping plate was of good quality and I had no issues at all picking up the design, even fine details. I quickly stamped a few designs that caught my eye on some paper, so you can see that even fine lines are picked up easily!

Greenery - Australis Limited Edition 2, Mundo de Unas Green, Born Pretty BP-83

Ok, so I seem to always forget about this colour of the year business every alternate year... But here's 2017's colour of the year from Pantone - Greenery!

I quite like it, a very nice calm shade with positive connotations for a fresh start...

This is the shade I chose to represent it - Australis Limited Edition 2 which I've previously posted about in a dupe test with OPI Who the Shrek Are You?

Limited Edition 2 is a lovely grassy green which suits the Greenery theme  really well.

As I've said before, great formula and dry time. This was two coats. I also stamped over it immediately instead of doing it the next night as I usually do, and had no problem with it still being wet/easily dented.

Here's the design I used to stamp over my base on the lower left corner. This lovely floral plate is BP-83. I've previously used the design on the bottom right as well.

The stamping polish I used was Mundo de Unas Green. It shows up beautifully against the green and stamping was nice and crisp.

You can see above that I actually tested out stamping in a lighter metallic shade on my thumb first, but decided to go with the green instead! I think this design would also do very well for leadlighting - in fact, I think that's one of the reasons I decided to get this plate in the first place!

At any rate, that's my Greenery-inspired mani. Here's to new growth and a luscious year!

Blushin' Blooms - Australis Kpop, Mundo de Unas Yellow, Born Pretty BP-83

As always, I try to make the most of a base shade by putting something else over the top of it...

...and my method of choice for the past few months has been stamping - so I'm pretty happy to have fulfilled one of my nail resolutions... Learn to stamp!

Once again, my base shade is the bright and beautiful Kpop from Australis, a bubblegummy purple creme.

I chose this pattern of flowers in both positive and negative prints from Born Pretty round stamping plate BP-83. Isn't it such a cute design?

I couldn't resist pairing it up with a matching cheery shade and what better than a bright yellow! This one is Mundo de Unas Yellow stamping polish.

We've got super 60s flower power going on here! I was already pretty happy with the base shade alone but this eye-searing result is almost even better!! =p

Printed Pink - Sally Hansen Cerise, Mundo de Unas Ribbon, Born Pretty BPL-026

So here is the stamping manicure that I did over my base shade from a few days ago.

I think I could probably have done better with the colour combination... but let's go through what we've got here!

[Stamping plate: Born Pretty BPL-026]

I was very generously provided with a stamping plate from Born Pretty for review. This particular plate is Born Pretty BPL-026. As usual, it arrives with a protective blue film and a gorgeous cardboard sleeve for storage.

The patterns are generally floral/foliage based but there was a nice sweater knit pattern (bottom row, 2nd from left) that I wanted to try out so that's what I picked!

The stamping polish that I used was Mundo de Unas stamping polish in Ribbon which is a pale dusty lilac shade. However, after stamping it looks more like a faded white, possibly also due to my base shade.

Here's the stamping in comparison to the plate itself! I really like how the pattern is large enough so even if you have large/long nails, there's no problem getting full coverage.

I think I could probably have scraped off less and gotten more of a sweater knit pattern! I think the way I ended up with, it looks more like leaves or even a tire track pattern if you got creative with colours! There's a thought for another time!

There are plenty of other amazing patterns on this plate and I did some test stamps of a few. The details are picked up amazingly well, especially in that fourth pattern there where even the fine details are visible in the stamp!

I am adoring these stamping polishes, so forgiving to use for an amateur like me. Topped it all off with topcoat and you're ready to roll!

This manicure lasted for over a week before I got impatient and removed it. At the rate these manis are lasting, I'm going to run out of things to post if I don't break out the remover!

Spiral In - Australis Friend Like Me, Mundo de Unas Iris, Born Pretty BP-L004

I stamped over this with Mundo de Unas Iris, a gorgeous bright blue that pops against the pale base. This is the first MdU stamping polish I've tried and I am super duper impressed. Like whoa!!

The pattern is once again from Born Pretty plate BP-L004. I'm really getting great use out of this one plate!! Maybe I should make it intentional and aim to use every pattern on the plate!
