Smooth Serpent - Glam Polish Dreamscape

Oh dear, I found these in my files... this mani is already 3 years old!

[Bottle to nail: Glam Polish Dreamscape]
This is Glam Polish Dreamscape, a duochrome flakie polish that shifts from green-to-gold with lots of extra flakie colours scattered throughout.

[Glam Polish Dreamscape]
Unfortunately it was so long ago that I don't remember too much about formula and finish...

[Glam Polish Dreamscape]
Hope you enjoyed the photos anyway! =p

Space Commander - Glam Polish Hat Trick

After all the stamping adventures in the last few posts, I was hankering for a nice, no-fuss shade but still with some wow factor. This is what I ended up with.

[Whoa, Nelly]
Multichrome holographic goodness!

[Bottle to nail: Glam Polish Hat Trick (2 coats)]
This is Hat Trick from Glam Polish. In the bottle, it looks like a purpley-gold mix but in the right light, all these amazing shades and rainbow particles come out to play.

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hat Trick]
The general look of it is a slightly dusty purple shimmer, but at an angle, it shifts to gold and green. The holographic particles are more of a scattered type rather than a linear holo, and these are not too obvious until you have direct light or sunlight, then whoaaa, blingy.

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hat Trick]
Here's a photo of the various shades you get at different angles.

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hat Trick]
Same pose but with some bright cool light from my mobile phone torch setting. Look at that amazing acid green on the pinky.

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hat Trick]
Overall, I've really liked multichromes from Glam Polish! Formula is great and the shades don't disappoint. This one was two coats to full opacity with good dry time and smooth finish, so yes, I think I achieved my no-fuss fancy mani for the week!

Voices of the Mountain - Glam Polish Harmony Wind

This is a beauty, another gift from Ev. It's Glam Polish's Harmony Wind. What a gorgeous name to go with a gorgeous polish.

[4 coats of Glam Polish Harmony Wind]

The flakie craze meant that we have so many different flakies for us to choose from now, which I absolutely love. These are metallic multichrome flakies that colour shift from teal to green to purple. The colour shift is strong and beautiful in this one. The manicure looks almost textured because of the flakies.

I did these with no coloured base but it did take about 4 coats to build it to opacity. You can sponge it for quicker application.

[4 coats of Glam Polish Harmony Wind]

I'm including these pictures where I photographed at a more acute angle because the purple looks so pretty here. You can still see the greens at the edges in the first one. At this angle, you can see that it colour shifts to gold as well. What a pretty polish!

(And yes, I'm slipping in some Pocahontas in the title. I thought Colors of the Wind was an apt choice for this post!)

No Worries - Glam Polish Hakuna Matata

What's that? Holographic and multichrome polish? Yes, indeed! Two good things make an even better one!

[Bottle to nail: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata (2 coats)]
This beauty is Hakuna Matata from Glam Polish's You're Never Too Old To Be Young collection. As described on their site, Hakuna Matata is a "multichrome holo that shifts from Green-Violet-Blue-Red". I've tried my best to capture this so let's see how it went!

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata]
Here's our violet...

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata]
Shifting to blue... (such a gorgeous blue too!)

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata]
...and finally a bright blue-leaning green!

I'm not sure if the red is all that visible, but that might be it on the edges of the nail. The colour shift from purple to blue and green is super visible, especially in direct lighting. I was super impressed!

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata (with flash)]
The holo is less obvious in my photos as these are indoors but here's a crappy mobile phone photo with flash to show the holo (and bright green! <3)

[2 coats: Glam Polish Hakuna Matata]
Formula was great, I'm fairly sure these were 2 coats. Wear time was also pretty good. All in all a multifaceted polish with lots of character! Definitely one to pick up if you can. In fact, there are so many fabulous shades at Glam Polish that you'll be spoilt for choice!

Summer Splash - elianto unknown, Glam Polish Twister

It's time for some bright fun colours, wheeeeeeee~

[Glitter: Glam Polish Twister
Base: elianto unknown]
I love Glam Polish Twister. Layering the neon matte glitter over a blue base makes the bright blue glitter of Twister blends in a little, but I think it just adds to the depth of the blue colour. I really love this look. It's predominantly a blue mani, but with splashes of neon colours to brighten it up. I'm going to experiment with Twister against more bases of different colours!

Neon Twist - Revlon Powder Puff; Glam Polish Blue Goo, Twister; Lush Lacquer Glowsticks

Today, I bring you a layering experiment that probably didn't need to be quite so convoluted! =p

A slightly subtle take on multicoloured neon glitter that I considered "work-safe"... =p

[Base: Revlon Powder Puff (1 coat); Topper: Glam Polish Twister (1 coat)]
I started out with a sheer white base (Revlon Powder Puff) that you can see on its own here. I then put a layer of Glam Polish Twister over the top. Twister consists of neon matte hexes in varying sizes and colours. Jme has previously used Twister as a topper in this post!

[2 coats: Glam Polish Blue Goo]
I then put two layers of Glam Polish Blue Goo over the top to sheer out the bright neons. Blue Goo itself has some neon glitter in it. This didn't quite work as I planned as the blue creme base in Blue Goo pretty much hid the layer of Twister on the base. Ooops!

[Base: Glam Polish Blue Goo (2 coats); Topper: Lush Lacquer Glowsticks (1 coat)]
Not satisfied, I then put a layer of Lush Lacquer Glowsticks over the top. I adore Glowsticks! It's a clear base filled with many shapes and sizes of neon semi-sheer glitter and the look of it changes depending on how it's layered! Those neon blue bars are my favourite!

In the end, I was pleased with the end result, but I definitely want to try out Twister on its own over a matching base sometime though!

Night Party - Glam Polish Twister, Orly In The Navy

Colourful mani for the New Year!

[Glitter: Glam Polish Twister
Base: Orly In The Navy]
I'm using Orly In The Navy as a base, which is an almost-black blue. Glam Polish Twister is a bright confetti-like polish! The neon matte glitter comes in blue, green, yellow and pink and different sizes.

I really like Twister because the glitter is opaque while still being bright, and it has a good density, enough so that it provides just the right amount of coverage on the nails! I really like the sprinkling of tiny neon matte glitter in the nail polish too.

Happy Happy Joy Joy - Mode Vicious Venom, Color Club Wish List Red, Glam Polish Big Bang Theory

HAPPY HOLIDAY-OF-YOUR-CHOICE!! =) Here's a Christmas tree inspired manicure that I slapped together for the silly season.

[Bottle to nail: Glam Polish Big Bang Theory over Mode Vicious Venom, Color Club Wish List Red]
I won't say too much about it, but basically it's a base of 2 coats of Mode Vicious Venom (previously used here) and then Color Club Wish List Red (reviewed here) striped over the top using the tape method.

[Base: Mode Vicious Venom (2 coats); Stripes: Color Club Wish List Red (1 coat);
Ring finger: Glam Polish Big Bang Theory (1 coat)]
I then edged the red with LA (previously used here) before topping off the ring finger with a coat of Glam Polish Big Bang Theory! I thought the assortment of round glitters in BBT would look awesome as baubles on the "tree"!

[Base: Mode Vicious Venom (2 coats); Stripes: Color Club Wish List Red (1 coat);
Ring finger: Glam Polish Big Bang Theory (1 coat)]
Hope y'all are having a great time and filling up on yummy food and catch-up time with family and friends! Mwaahhh~!

Ribbity Romp - Glam Polish Leapfrog

I'm loving neon glitter in creme bases and this here is one of my favourite polishes at the moment!

[Bottle to nail: Glam Polish Leapfrog (2 coats)]
This is Glam Polish Leapfrog, an aqua creme base filled with neon pink, yellow and green hexes of varying sizes. Application was great and these pics show Leapfrog at two coats (no base shade).

[2 coats: Glam Polish Leapfrog]
I love how pigmented the creme base is without dulling the pops of colour from the neon glitter. It is a bit muted in its participation in the neon trend, but great if you're dipping your toes and trying out some neon on your nails!

Start the countdown - Glam Polish Funhouse

It's sweet party time!

[Three coats of Glam Polish Funhouse]
That big curl on my ring finger was the leftover results of henna on my hand as part of my office Diwali celebration. :)

The nail polish has a pastel pink jelly base with purple and neon pink hex glitter of different sizes, and pale pink medium round glitter. Everything is topped off with a quick dry topcoat. I love that the base is jelly enough to see the glitter clearly through a couple coats, but it builds to opacity with two to three coats.

[Three coats of Glam Polish Funhouse]
Ah, round glitters are so fun and this nail polish has a sweet colour combo. I quite like it!  <3   And the title is from P!nk's Funhouse song.
