Polish Haul - OPI, Nubar, Nails Inc, Maybelline, BB Couture, WnW, Color Club, Milani, Zoya, Missha, Sinful Colors, Sally Hansen, Revlon, China Glaze, Piggy Polish

Gee, that post title is a mouthful! It's time for another embarrassing haul post! Although tbh, most of these came from Kaz's blogsale... =p

However, before we get into that, I was super surprised to learn that I had won one of the prizes in Dragon Lady Nails' 200-500 Follower Giveaway! Mine was the second entry drawn and I had a pick of the remaining four prize sets and this was the one I picked:

[Dragon Lady Nails 200-500 Follower Giveaway Prize]
Milani Jewel Fx in Gems, Teal and Silver (L-R in the photo), an amazingly shiny glittery blue notebook, two rolls of nail art striping tape, a rhinestone carousel and five of the most adorable fimo heart canes I've ever seen!

[Fimo heart canes]
Look how totally adorable they are! Can't wait to use them!

[L-R: Milani Gems, Teal, Silver]
Milani Gems is another of those Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday-inspired ones. Teal is medium-sized blue/green/silver holo hexagon glitter with small blue glitter in a clear base. Silver is... well, silver! Hexagonal glitter in a clear base as well. Click the image to see the different glitter combinations better.

Thank you sooo much to the Dragon Lady for hosting such a wonderfully generous giveaway! She is now holding a 750 Follower Appreciation Giveaway with 4 bottles from the China Glaze Prismatic collection so make sure to try your luck!!

Okay, now on to my blogsale haul from Kaz of Pretty Random. I was so so greedy, oh dearrr... The speed at which those comments rolled in, gossshh! Kaz was super duper nice and I received my haul super fast with all the polishes really well-packed in bubble wrap. Yayyy, thank you so much!

[L-R: Color Club Fantasy, OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, OPI Russian Navy Suede, Nubar Meadow Sparkle, Maybelline Racing Green, Piggy Polish (Unnamed), Nail Inc Chelsea Embankment]
[L-R: Sally Hansen White Pearl Chrome, Sinful Colors U Funny, BB Couture Studio 54, Zoya Kym, Maybelline Matte Olive, Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters]
Aahhhhh all that matte/chrome/glass fleck/glittery goodness, be still my heart! I am so pleased with this haul, you have no ideaaaa~ =p It was like random Christmas!

I also bought a couple of things over the past few weeks. Here's a few that were on my desk when I was taking photos...

[L-R: Revlon Lilac Beam, Revlon Popular, Missha HGR01, Missha HKH01, China Glaze For Audrey, Maybelline Metallics Downtown Brown]
Revlon Color Illusion Lilac Beam was a lucky find after rummaging through a pile at Paddys Markets, wooo! Jme and I each bought a bottle of Revlon Popular during Priceline's recent BOGOF Revlon sale.

[Close-up (L-R): Missha HKH01, Missha HGR01, Revlon Lilac Beam]
A close-up to show the holo in Missha HKH01, and the duochrome in Missha HGR01 and Revlon Lilac Beam! Also, now that I own three different party multi-coloured glitter polishes, I can do a comparison of them! Here's a quick and dirty pic to show you the general difference between the three.

[Glitter comparison (L-R): WnW Party of Five Glitters, NYX Girls Carnival, Milani Jewel FX Gems]
Milani Gems has a lot more orange, NYX Girls Carnival has more gold and neither are present in WnW Party of Five Glitters so you get a much cooler tone with WnW, warm with NYX and in-between for Milani.

I'll write up a more comprehensive breakdown one day but for now, I'm off to stare lovingly at my stash...ALTHOUGH... I will be doing a blogsale sometime, I just need to find some time to weed through my stash (because it's almost at 400 atm, shhhh don't tell the boyfriend...) =p

Have a great week, all!

Polish Haul - China Glaze, Essence, Essie, Jordana

Hey hey hey! I'm in such a lazy mood these days! Jme and I have been guiltily avoiding updating The Plish List because I have something like *cough*30*cough* to add and she may... have more...? But anyyyhooo, here are some (not all *gulp*) pics of what I've collected in the first quarter of the year...

I've been hitting up every Target I can find to collect my Essence lemmings! I've gone to the Shire... Eastern Suburbs...and even Hay St Mall in Perth! It was all worth it though!

[Essence Vampire's Love (L-R): Into the Dark, The Dawn is Broken, Gold Old Buffy]
I managed to find old displays of the Vampire's Love collection with lingering bottles, phew! Though the name makes me cringe, these are all lovely lovely polishes - this is the finish I've been loving lately too, cremes with shimmer/glitter. <3 Anyone notice that these bottles are EXACTLY the same as the Australis polish bottles? ;D

[Essence (L-R): Shiny Godness, Mellow Yellow, Camouflage, Sweet As Candy, Rose Glam]
I also picked up a couple from the regular "colour & go" range and a french manicure polish. I picked up Camouflage and the French Glam because it was marked as "going to be discontinued" so I thought, why not!

[China Glaze: Twinkle Lights; Essence (L-R): Make It Golden, Time For Romance, Blue Addicted]
Here are some glitters I picked up... China Glaze Twinkle Lights... so festive! And through my dedicated travels, I managed to find all three of my Essence glitter lemmings! Not just that, I managed to score them for Jme too! WIN!

[China Glaze OMG: DV8, 2NITE, TTYL, L8R G8R]
Like most Sydneysiders, I set aside some time to go pick up some polishes from the China Glaze OMG collection. I've been after DV8 for the longest time. Teals have been my go-to colour since forever!

[Essie (L-R): Ridge Filling Base Coat, Da Bush, Fair Game, Your Hut Or Mine, Lion Around]
I saw that Ozsale was selling Essie on the Gumleaf Mafia page and decided to put a tiny order in for some minis from the Resort Collection and their Ridge Filling Base Coat. I already use Essie Fill the Gap! and so far the RFBC seems pretty similar. As for the Resort Collection, I'm loving these colours - they're almost all of the creme shimmer finish!

[Ozsale Rough Handling vs Essie Resort Collection]
Ozsale does have a reputation for knocking your packages around though and this is how my little box of plish arrived. One of the minis had actually fallen out of the box and was rattling about in the padded envelope. Thankfully nothing was damaged aside from the packaging but it did look quite battered! Just a word of warning if anyone is thinking of purchasing from them.

Finally, just this week, I received three Jordana Glitters polishes from a Cherry Culture order I made with Jme during another recent 20% off sale. I'm happy to say they are all fairly dense - potentially full coverage in 3 coats? Maybe 2 coats even!

[Jordana Glitters: Cosmic, Magenta Magic, LA City Nights]
I tweeted this a day or two ago but Magenta Magic is fairly easy to franken into a Revlon Scandalous/Facets of Fuchsia/Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance dupe. All you need to do is combine 1/3 Magenta Magic, 2/3 clear polish and about a dozen drops of a plain black creme to tint the base.

I haven't got swatches yet because I can't bear to remove the Lynderella I'm currently wearing but I will try to get it done soon!

Polish Hauls - Revlon, Sally Hansen, Color Combos, Naga, etc!

I have decided that I'll post a series of all the nail polishes I picked up from Malaysia. Most of these nail polishes are from various Asian countries (Korea, China, Japan, etc) so I thought it would be fun to share the assortment I have brought back.

My haul from Malaysia and Singapore. 14 nail polishes altogether, which is a surprising amount considering how I wasn't really focussed on nail polish shopping. :O  I'm not going to name them all, because most of them only have numbers for names (Asian polish style), but I'll go in detail in individual reviews. I bought from a variety of brands including ORLLY (which doesn't seem to be a fake or attempting to imitate Orly, since it's so different), Color Combos, Beau Kiss, Dong Dong (ahaha), and Skin Food.

And this is my haul from Broadway plus a gift from Ev. I visited Broadway after the tip off from Ev here. I have such a weakness for a good bargain. From left to right, I bought Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City and Fire Fox, plus Revlon Peach Nectar, Resin Rage, and Perplex, and Sally Hansen Galaxy.

The last one on the far right is an early birthday present from Ev, Australis' Crystal Color Top Coat.

Here's a close-up! It looks to be a gorgeous multi-coloured flakey, and some of the flakes are definitely holographic. What an awesome surprise from Australis!

This is the start of Ev's birthday pressies to me, and she's already dropped me a hint that I have a few more plishes coming my way! I'm so excited! :D :D :D

Shopping in Sydney! - Revlon Matte Suede, Just Tinted, Metallics, Perplex

Plisherrific is now on Facebook and Twitter! Both will be updated with a link when our blog updates, but our Twitter also includes photos of post previews and random hauls as well as polish sightings and shopping pics! So do follow us!

On that note! Shopping for Sydney girls! In the past few weeks, I've picked up a couple of Revlon polishes around the city area for cheap. Here they are...

The first four, Metallic and Matte Suede in Emerald City, Fire Fox and Ruby Ribbon (L-R) were purchased in a rummage bin at Broadway Shopping Centre ground floor for $3 each! When I was there yesterday, there was plenty of all the above still available, as well as Revlon Perplex and Black with Envy (potential Chanel dupes).

Here's the image I posted earlier on Twitter! The black lids with silver strips are the Matte Suedes.

I haven't got swatches yet, but I did some paper swatches so here's my impression of these. Metallic is an extremely loaded silver foil. Fire Fox is a matte jelly with red shimmer (so it's not a full matte, hence the suede). Red Ribbon is a deep dark matte plum with heavy silver shimmer.

Emerald City is pretty interesting because from what I can tell, it's a faded forest green matte suede... and a potential dupe for OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow (Suede). That means it's going to be dupe test time again soon!

The last one, Revlon Just Tinted in Dawn is a semi-sheer coral jelly. I purchased this for $3 as well at Paddy's Markets, Haymarket. The Just Tinted range is still available at full price in drugstores so this is a pretty good bargain! The seller had all four of the range - Dawn, Victorian, Mystical, Desire, available when I was there last weekend. =)

Also, Ulta3 polish is now $2 per bottle, how awesome is that! My local Coles has also started stocking some of the colours as well. Temptation is everywhere... =p

Anyway, I hope that was helpful for all you Sydney polish enthusiasts! I plan to take lots of pics when I'm out and about to put up on our Twitter so do follow if you're interested in what's available and where great deals are to be found!
