Ev's Birthday #4 - Jme presents... LA Splash, LA Girl, Cheeky, Nail Pattern Boldness, Aphrodite Lacquer

Get ready for crazy picspam! I have been so super spoilt for my birthday this year... I saw Jme again the other day and she had EVEN MORE presents for me. They'd arrived a bit later than she expected, but to me it's like, birthday extension?? Oooh yeah, bring it on~ =)

[GORGEOUS GLORIOUS GLITTER GLUT]

I couldn't resist putting together this gorgeous macros of some of the indie polishes... but before we get to those, here are a couple other things!

[WITH SHINY INDEED]

Nail stickers... "WITH SHINY"! Jme knows me so well, lol!

[LA Splash: Golden Moss; LA Girl Glitter Addict: Celebrate, Incognito, Animate, Flamboyant]

Now, Jme was super sneaky and was all like, "Hey, let's order from Cherry Culture!" ..then when I sent her my list, she was like OKAY, I'M BUYING IT!" .... Soooo SNEAKY!! Anyway, from L-R up there, here's what I got! LA Splash Golden Moss, then LA Girl Glitter Addict in Celebrate, Incognito, Animate and Flamboyant. So many shinies!

... and then Jme got me a bunch of CHEEKY XL JUMBO SUPERBIG MASSIVE STAMPING PLATES, OHWOWWWWW~!! I cannot wait to try these out, but at the same time, they are so beautifully pristine that I can't bear to break them out.... Eeeee~ =)

[Nail Pattern Boldness]

From nail pattern boldness, I got Flipping Out Hard and I Believe I Can Fly. Look how amazing they both are!!

[Nail Pattern Boldness: Flipping Out Hard]

Flipping Out Hard is in the same general ballpark as Nail-venturous Floam but the base is a bright fluoro yellow and it looks like an even amount of yellow and blue matte glitter in the mix (compared to more blue in Floam - swatched here). The glitter is super dense too! I reckon opaque in two coats~ =)

[Nail Pattern Boldness: I Believe I Can Fly]

I Believe I Can Fly is amazingly gorgeous. That mix of glitter together with the rich blue jelly base is utter genius! There's silver and pale blue squares, and smaller purple and red hexes (?). The combination gives amazing depth and is opaque in two coats. Can't wait to wear this as a full mani!

[Aphrodite Lacquer]

Jme also gave me two polishes from Aphrodite Lacquer - Don't Copy Me and.... Custom..? That's right, I GOT A CUSTOM POLISH ZOMGGGGG, AAAAHHHHH~!! *runs around the room flailing*

[Aphrodite Lacquer: Don't Copy Me]

Don't Copy Me is a shimmery white jelly with black squares and tiny hexes. Depth is amazing as you can tell! I'm actually wearing this right now! Two coats is pretty good, but as it's a white jelly, it's still a bit translucent. You can probably go for three coats if you want complete coverage. The black glitter tends to settle, but it's fine after a good shake, no real need to go fishing.

[Aphrodite Lacquer: Custom polish]

Custom is miiiinnneeee, alllll mineeee!!! What a gorgeous mix! There's white, magenta and black squares, and lots of tiny lavender hexes... but not just that... hidden in the mix are these masssive purple hexes... you can see one peeking out at the bottom of the bottle in that shot above. The polish is chock-full of glitter and there's no issues getting a bunch out, but to get the super large ones require a bit of fishing. Super gorgeous, though... The question is... what polish undies to wear underneath! Oh, decisions...

Ev's Birthday #3 - Jme presents... Color Club, Orly, China Glaze, Coco Allure

Sorry, it's been a very Ev-centric few days here at Plisherrific... =p But I just had to show my amazing loot from Jme for my birthday (which I opened just past midnight after scheduling that last post, hehe)...

I just had to put a pic of these shinies first!! EHMAHHGERRRRDDDDDD, SOO AWESUMS. But! More on those later....

Anyway, we were chatting online and I asked what order I should open the presents in! So the first one was this adorable set of false nails. KITTIES!! Cats are my favouritest, can't wait to try these on! As I told Jme, a bonus is that these nails are fairly narrow so they'll fit my skinny nails well without having to chop off much of the kitty image. WIN!

[I-I-It's not what you think it is!!]

I was also having a whinge a few weeks ago that no matter what perfume I use, it seems to dissipate super fast. High-end, EDP, a billion spritzes, NUP NADA. So Jme got me a bunch of these handy atomisers, yayyyy!! Now a new spritz will freshen my fragrance right up~ =)

AND NOW THE POLISHES, YESSSSS~

[Duochrome, glitter and opalescence, oh my!]

Look at these beauties! These are Color Club Port-folio, Orly Angel Eyes and China Glaze Rare & Radiant!

I was unable to capture the color of the Color Club polish well because these are hurried shots before I run off to work. =( It's actually a gorgeous purple with shimmer that shifts from purple-bronze to a stunning electric green. Super sci-fi!
Orly Angel Eyes is a clear base full of blue microglitter, and scattered opaque silver opalescent glitter (hope that makes sense...).
Finally, China Glaze Rare & Radiant is that lovely green-gold duochrome that's super popular these days! These all photograph so well, ahhh~

[MORE LIKE, TOTALLY AWESUMS]

Jme also got me three indie polishes from Coco Allure! They look so gorgeous and the glitter is sooo dense in all three of them. I was complaining that I just prepped my birthday mani and I already wannna try on all these new shinies!

The Coco Allure polish on the left is Like, Totally Pink. Super awesome name, and it's actually a pink jelly with fine gold/orange microglitter, and super dense blue opalescent glitter.
The middle one is Bootiful which is jam-packed fulled of black, orange and purple glitter in two sizes each of hexes and squares. I'm loving square glitter lately so these are awesome!!
The last one on the right is Cleopinktra, hehe. It's a mix of gold and magenta hex and square glitter in at least 3 sizes, gosh! 

Feeling so spoilt, I am!! These aren't even all of the gifts from Jme!

Ev's Birthday #1 - Gingerbread Santa

This Tuesday is my birthday but catching up with friends and family already began last week so I've been pretty spoilt~ =) Today's post is just some photos from a wonderful giftbox that my partner/boyfriend's family put together for me! We also had a super delicious homemade roast dinner too, yum yum~

First was a little bag of tasty gingerbread men - I pulled this little guy out and his last button had been.. erm, misplaced so I took the picture as it was. =p

I also got a matching cookie cutter and a gorgeous sparkly card! Now onto the gifts!!!

Aaaaah, so many new things to try out and goodies to play with! I'll start with the kits...

These are the Manicare Glamnails Gel Nails System kit and the Sculpture Acrylic Nails kit. Really looking forward to testing them out, especially since I broke a nail on each hand in the recent week and have odd-looking stubbies now. I'll write up a post when I've tried these out!

Nail boards - can never have too many! And cuticle softener! My cuticles have been so raggedy these past few months even though I've piled on the moisturiser, so hopefully this will help. The portable format will definitely come in handy too.

A cuticle trimmer and pusher, also super helpful in my quest to fix up my raggedy hands. I hadn't gotten around to getting one myself, so this will be great! Also, french tip tapes for that perfect french manicure~ =)

Finally, polish polish polish! First, OPI top coat! I've only tried their Rapidry topcoat which I quite liked so I'm looking forward to trying this out. Then, two polishes which I've got more photos of just below; DS Glow and Birthday Babe << gotta love the name!!

OPI Birthday Babe - this is a silver shimmer that dries to a somewhat pearly finish... from what I can tell from online swatches! I'll let you guys now when I've swatched it myself~ I don't think I have anything in my collection like this.

OPI DS Glow - a bronzey colour with heavy gold glass fleck/microglitter. My first OPI DS! Looks amazing and glowy in the bottle, can't wait to try it out!

Heeheee, now that I've taken pictures of them... I can now crack them open and use them, yayyyy!!! Thank you so much, M + K + S + parents + cats!!! =)

I also met up with Jme yesterday and she gave me some loooooot, but I'm not allowed to open it till tomorrow, booooo!!! So look out for another update from me once I do that! =D

Birthday Bonanza in a Bag

ALL THE PRESSIES FOR ME! Yesterday was my birthday and Ev had this package dropped off:

Pictures do this bag no justice because it is the perfect combo for me: Purple and sparkly! A++ choice! And if you're wondering, that's foil sticking out the top. Ev has this thing for foil. It's an unhealthy love affair. I don't remember when and how it started, but usually my presents come wrapped in foil. O_O

The above is the heart-warming hand-drawn card Ev had included. What a lovely sentiment. Yeah.

(And yes, the card was wrapped in foil too. I think Ev might have a problem.)

In one of the foil-wrapped packages, I got a hair treatment package and nail art stickers! I think Ev is trying to tell me I have terrible hair and I need more spice in my nail art. (In all seriousness, I complain about my hair quite a bit.)

I forgot to photograph a picture of the quick nail polish remover dispenser that I opened at this point. >_> So just imagine a bottle-shaped thing here!

WOOOOOOOO NAIL FOILS!!! I have always wanted to try those, but I have been putting that off. No more excuses!

Aaaaah, the amazingness of this holographic Glitter Gal plish, how beautiful are they, so beautiful. >3<

Klean! I did not know you had such gorgeous, eye-catching nail polishes in your collections! My eyes are no longer in pain! THEY ARE IN LOVE!

Yaaaaay, Ev is contributing to my neverending quest for the volumest mascara that ever volumed. And that's a tube of Mirenesse's Forever Lip Duo!

Hey Shorty - It's Your Birthday!

Guess what, everyone! It's Jme's birthday today! Please join me in wishing her many happy returns and a super duper birthday day!

She's not getting her pressies till later today so I'm here to make her wish the work day was over already! *evil laughter*

Her favourite colour is purple, and I like shiny things --- Shiny purple gift bag: SCORE!!! I purchased Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Be-Jeweled less than 24 hours ago and noticed that it was very similar to the gift bag! Although this is mine... =p No Gem Crush in this baggie for you!

 Polish! Polish! Polish! Polish! Also, I love wrapping things in alfoil... requires minimal skill on my part.
