Fuzzy Fantasy - Emily de Molly Savvy Trinket

I have a super gorgeous polish to show you today. Funny story, I gifted this one to Jme thinking she'd like it... and she liked it so much it was already in her stash, so it came back to me~!

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Savvy Trinket (2 coats)]
This is Savvy Trinket by Emily de Molly - an amazingly shiny purple foil absolutely chockers with gold-green-blue colour-shifting shimmer.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Savvy Trinket]
As you can see I went a step further and added a layer of matte topcoat and I absolutely love the result! I haven't got photos of Savvy Trinket sans matte topcoat, but rest assured, it is the most beautifully shiny purple foil.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Savvy Trinket]
Application was pretty perfect. This is two coats for full opacity, but you could do one thick coat if your nails are short like mine currently are. You can also do a single coat for a lovely translucent shell effect! It dries quickly and perfectly smooth and shiny. I didn't get any streak marks but I'm usually quite careful about that, though it seems like this polish self-levels quite well anyway.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Savvy Trinket]
In case you can't already tell... I was super pleased with this! Even with the matte topcoat, you're getting a great shimmering effect that makes your nails look really glowy.

Strawberry Lemonade - Emily de Molly Crystal Cavern

I'm completely failing to capture the prettiness of this nail polish so maybe you have to rely on descriptions at the end!

[Emily de Molly's Crystal Cavern]
As you can see from the bottle, this is from Emily de Molly and it's Crystal Cavern. It's a pretty pink polish with a very visible gold shimmer. But damn does my camera hates taking photo of flashes of gold so you get only a hint of it here. As always, easy to apply and gorgeous to look at.

Mystery Beach - Emily de Molly Shallow Depths

Who doesn't love a good multichrome!

[Dip yer toes]
This is definitely a good one too! Check out those shifty shades!

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Shallow Depths (2 coats)]
Here's Shallow Depths by Emily de Molly, a gorgeous green-blue-purple multichrome shimmer polish.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Shallow Depths]
Isn't it amazing! The colour shift is just as obvious on the nail too. I had lots of fun staring at my nails at different angles.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Shallow Depths]
Formula was fantastic as always, this was two coats, quick drying and non-streaky. Not like old school multichromes with opacity issues, you definitely don't need a black base here! Just slap on a layer of topcoat for extra shine and you're all done~

Paisley Paradise - Emily de Molly Memory Maker, Hit the Bottle A Glint of Gold, Born Pretty BP-L024

As expected, I couldn't leave well enough alone..

[Berry sparkly]
What better to add some glitz than to use holographic stamping polish!

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Memory Maker (2 coats)]
My base from last week - Emily de Molly Memory Maker, a berry red jelly with blue-purple shimmer and gold-copper flakes. I decided the end result was a bit too vampy so decided to add a bit more sparkle.

[Base: Emily de Molly Memory Maker (2 coats);
Stamping: Hit the Bottle A Glint of Gold, Born Pretty BP-L024]
Using the paisley pattern from Born Pretty stamping plate BP-L024, I stamped over EdM Memory Maker with Hit the Bottle A Glint of Gold. This gold holo stamping polish is so easy to work with, and as you can see here, works a treat over a dark base.

All in all, I'm quite happy with this jazzed up mani!

Berry Beauty - Emily de Molly Memory Maker

Today I have quite an interesting shade to show off...

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Memory Maker (2 coats)]
This is Emily de Molly Memory Maker - which is a berry red almost jelly base with lots of blue-purple shimmer and gold-copper flakes throughout.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Memory Maker]
Formula was good, as expected - I used 2 coats here to get a nice deep colour.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Memory Maker]
As you can see, it looks pretty different depending on the lighting. The blue-purple shimmer cools down the tone while the coppery flakes give it a bit of "glow". The overall effect is a fairly vampy red with not too obvious sparkle.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Memory Maker]
I've taken the two photos above in direct (top) and diffuse (bottom) lighting to show off the flakey effect and closer detail of the flakes in the polish. Quite an interesting shade, as I mentioned, but I think it's a bit subtle for me! But I do like my sparkle....

Perfect Potion - Emily de Molly Water Balance

Alright, I just can't get enough of blue-green polishes and this one is an amazing addition to my collection.

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Water Balance (2 coats)]
This is Emily de Molly Water Balance, a gorgeous blue-green shimmer with tons of gold-green flecks. Seriously, it's so packed full that it looks almost like a foil polish in these photos!

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Water Balance]
Formula was absolutely fantastic as I've come to expect from Emily de Molly polishes. I think I used two coats here but it could possibly do with one coat.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Water Balance]
Just look at the shine on this polish!

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Water Balance]
Although it looks like a duochrome, I don't think it actually is one. Just the combination of the base shade and the golden shimmer gives it great depth and the illusion of having colour-shift. Such a great polish!

Starry Night - Emily de Molly Downward Spiral

Look at what we got here!

[Emily de Molly Downward Spiral]
This is Emily de Molly's Downward Spiral. It is meant to be "a navy blue holo with pink/green/gold shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes." I will first say that I do like it because there's a kind of pretty deep blue depth to it that really makes it look like a night sky filled with stars when you look at the holo.

However, the only parts that really came through were the navy blue holo and iridescent flakes. In person and in photos, it doesn't look very much like the photos on the website, and I couldn't see any of the pink/green/gold shifting shimmer, which was a little disappointing.

[Emily de Molly Downward Spiral]
Downward Spiral is still a pretty nail polish, but not what I was expecting unfortunately.

Summer Juice - Emily de Molly Now and Later

This is another shade I recently received from Jme for my birthday! It's just perfect for the warming weather...!

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly Now and Later (2 coats)]
This is Emily de Molly Now and Later which is described as a neon pink with gold-to-green shifting shimmer and silver metallic micro glitter.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Now and Later]
I didn't actually think it was a neon pink before reading the official description! It definitely comes off more as a neon coral due to the heavy gold shimmer. I also didn't notice much green colour shift. However, I quite like how it looks as is! It's such a fresh summer shade~

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Now and Later]
Like a lot of neon shades, it dries slightly matte, which I actually like the look of. I used two coats, beautiful coverage, good dry time, and relatively smooth finish. I did not actually use topcoat for this because I loved the semi-matte look!

[2 coats: Emily de Molly Now and Later]
Definitely a gorgeous shade without the neon being too in-your-face. Very happy to have this in my collection!

Lost in the Snow - Emily de Molly The Maze and The Hightower[

This is Emily de Molly's The Maze and The Hightower, which is a subtle colour changing polish.

[Emily de Molly The Maze and The Hightower]
It's more obvious in the second one for some reason. The Maze and The Hightower is a pale icy blue when warm, and a medium teal when cold, with a clear pink shimmer, silver glitter, and pink-green duochrome flakies all through it. The colour shift is subtle, but I have to say, I love it.

[Emily de Molly The Maze and The Hightower]
Here, you can see the flakies better here with the extreeeeeme close-up.

[Emily de Molly The Maze and The Hightower]
This is how The Maze and The Hightower looks when cool (a splash of cold water).

[Emily de Molly The Maze and The Hightower]
This is how it looks when warm. I do find it a bit funny that at a warmer temperature, the nail polish looks even more icy cold.

I do love both shades and kind of wish I had separate polishes of them.

Witch's Brew - Emily de Molly The Eight Letter

Here's a gift from EV, given back in March, that I'm just cracking open now!

[Emily de Molly The Eight Letter]

This is Emily de Molly's The Eight Letter, a nail polish with a purple base and a brilliant green-orange duochrome shimmer. There's a scatter of pink-green glitter as well in the nail polish. My camera didn't capture the orange shimmer very well, but isn't the green brilliant here?

[Emily de Molly The Eight Letter]
I really love the colour. It's witchy and pretty! The formula is thin and builds up quickly, fully opaque by two/three coats.

Funchsia - Emily de Molly LE89

This is Emily de Molly's LE89, and a gift from Ev!

[Emily de Molly LE89]
I have managed to break nails on both hands, quite badly too, so I'm gonna mainly photograph 3 nails only. I'm not going to cut down the other nails to match the one which had broke because the one that broke is just too short right now. It would hurt to get the others to match.

LE89 is a bright fuchsia with multi-coloured flakies.

[Emily de Molly LE89]
Quality is good; it applied smoothly and easily. All in all, a good nail polish that I think you could wear to work, and still have that edge of fun with the flakies.

Royal Flush - Emily de Molly The Amber Palace

I think this one was a gift from Jme for my last birthday!

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly The Amber Palace (2 coats)]
Isn't it such a unique polish! This is Emily de Molly The Amber Palace, which is described as a reddish brown base with iridescent flakes and gold holo microglitter.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly The Amber Palace]
To me, it's less of an amber, and I get more of a plummy-brown shade. These photos are of two coats, nice even formula and decent dry time.

[2 coats: Emily de Molly The Amber Palace]
As you can tell, it's quite a vampy shade, but the twinkly glitter and pops of blue and magenta from the flakies really brightens it up.

[Bottle to nail: Emily de Molly The Amber Palace (2 coats)]
Here's an out-of-focus photo to show the sparkle from the glitter. All-in-all a great combination if you're after a darker mani with some oomph. =)
