Delicate Detail - Born Pretty BP-WT04 The Noon Sunshine, Nicole Diary-L03, BK polish #08

Now I'm not known for putting the best colour combinations together in my stamping (mis)adventures... but I don't think I did too badly this time!

The plate I'm reviewing was generously provided by Born Pretty - this is Nicole Diary-L03, a plate chockers full of lovely Eastern-style floral designs. I love all the patterns on this plate!

The stamping polish I'm using is also from Born Pretty, this one is BP-WT04 The Noon Sunshine, a sort of seafoam-y Tiffany blue (it's a tad greener than my photos suggest). Such a lovely colour!

Using a blue jelly base (BK Glow in the Dark polish #08), I then stamped over all my nails with 10 different designs from the plate. I must say this stamping polish has the ideal formula, slightly thick, great opacity, doesn't dry too quickly.

Pretty much every design I stamped came out practically perfect, so colour me impressed! Really happy with both the plate and the stamping polish.

Hello Holo - Born Pretty Mystery

It's a holo madness!

[Born Pretty Mystery]

This is Born Pretty's Mystery and a pink polish full of holo goodness. I've taken the photos from slightly different angles and the holo just shines in every one!

What I didn't notice until much later was that Mystery is a holo and light sensitive nail polish. It's meant to change colour under UV light...which I never tested because I thought it was just a holo polish! I'll have to review this again haha. Nail polishes are pretty but deceiving some days!

Stampede - Born Pretty Throne, Western Memory - L001, Dance Legend Baikal

Time for some stamping!

I stamped over Dance Legend's Baikal, reviewed in my last post here, with Born Pretty's Throne, a black stamping nail polish from Born Pretty's White Night series. I used patterns from  Born Pretty's Western Memory - L001 stamping plate.

I quite like the packaging for the stamping plate and stamping polish. Everything looks very elegant.

Even on my very long nails, the pattern was large enough for full coverage.

I broke a nail on my other hand, so the nails are shorter.

Overall, this is a great stamping nail polish! I've been looking for a black stamping polish replacement and this is pretty fantastic. Transferring the pattern from stamping plate to nail was easy and turned out pretty well. The stamping plate also produced clear sharp patterns. The patterns were easy to make out and look pretty nice.

Curlicue Whirl - Born Pretty BP-WT06 Cherry blossoms, Nicole Diary-091

On to the last plate of this set of reviews...

This is Nicole Diary-091 from Born Pretty - a plate filled with lots of swirly curls and floral elements. There's also a good bunch of half nail patterns as you can see.

I'm also reviewing this warm pink shade of stamping polish from Born Pretty - this is BP-WT06 Cherry blossoms, from the Warm Tea series.

Using the same base as previous (OPI Russian Navy Matte), I picked 5 different patterns to test out from full nail patterns to standalone designs and a negative space print as well.

I think they all printed very well - no issues with either the plate or the polish in picking up the intricate fine details in the stamping patterns. The pink also stamped decently over the dark base, though you can see a bit of translucency in the stamped pattern.

I did actually also try this shade over white, but I think there's wasn't enough contrast between the two. Could make for a good subtle stamping mani though, if that's what you wanted to go for!

Deep Lagoon - Dance Legend 73 Baikal

Hello, hello, here's a beauty that I have on today!

This is Dance Legend 73 Baikal from their Anna Gorelova catalogue. It's a gorgeous purple nail polish with an intense blue shimmer and a scattering of holo micro flakies. Because of the blue shimmer, I would say the overall effect is that the nail polish looks more blue than it does purple. It was opaque in two coats and easy to apply. The shrinkage was due to my Seche Vite quick dry coat alas.

Dreamy Dots - Born Pretty BP-AC03 Bright yellow sprouts, Nicole Diary-090

Today I'm reviewing another plate from Born Pretty - this is Nicole Diary-090 which contains a whole bunch of stamping patterns heavy on fine dots. Kind of like pointillism!

I'm also reviewing a stamping polish from Born Pretty - this is BP-AC03 Bright yellow sprouts, from the Autumn Courtyard Series. You can see it's definitely super bright in the bottle.

Using a dark base (OPI Russian Navy Matte), I tried a whole bunch of designs on my nails. I'm really impressed by how well the fine dots were picked up and transferred. No complaints at all here.

As you can tell, the yellow stamping polish is a bit more subtle on a dark base, so it works really well for a slightly more subtle look. Again, this polish works very well in picking up the fine details of the design.

Rainbow Lake - Born Pretty Baltic Sea

This is a little bit funny and I'll get to why at the end. So this is Born Pretty's Baltic Sea, and it was a gift from EV.

I thought Baltic Sea was a gorgeous holo teal, and I have to say, it really is pretty gorgeous. That nail polish is jam packed with holographic microglitter but the teal shade is still fairly brilliant instead of faded due to the holo.

The funny part is that Baltic Sea isn't just a holographic teal nail polish. It's actually a UV colour-changing nail polish as well. It's meant to change to a dark colour under UV light. I just never checked... Oops? But I will check it next time, so you'll see another review from me on this at some point!
